Gold is a hedge against hard times, things are picking up from what I can see.
The banking storm in the US is about over, people have come to grips with their current home value and are looking to spend a bit more than they were willing to in the last six years. I think we are going into an upturn in general stocks, if that is the case then reserve type metals will be static or decline, consumer metals like nickel, copper and iron will do well.

Linda and I are in Merida-it's as hot as billy blue blazes. normhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04651902762232427335noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5414957110325310952.post-61569054620063428382013-02-21T08:58:47.753-08:002013-02-21T08:58:47.753-08:00Personally I agree with Norma, start selling and s...Personally I agree with Norma, start selling and spending. Many market analysis websites agree with this.

I do however think there will be a rebound after the dust settles. Whether it will come back to recent highs is unknown. I probably should have sold all of it when I did my profit taking in October.

Remember back when we complained loudly if we were "only" making 10%?Crofthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17634815881045387152noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5414957110325310952.post-61187029078337120532013-02-21T05:01:03.652-08:002013-02-21T05:01:03.652-08:00Personally I think riding it out is the best route...Personally I think riding it out is the best route. Soros sold the vast majority of his gold holdings almost 2 years ago. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/05/17/george-soros-gold_n_863083.html. I do however believe that if you are doing a 6% return on your portfolio that it is doing well.

Hugh in Dallas.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5414957110325310952.post-26701380818920379972013-02-20T22:05:52.541-08:002013-02-20T22:05:52.541-08:00C'mon, you've got money you haven't sp...C'mon, you've got money you haven't spent yet!Rod and Sylviahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17457767441199529798noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5414957110325310952.post-88417856609845899702013-02-20T20:12:15.074-08:002013-02-20T20:12:15.074-08:00He certainly has the ability to make small investo...He certainly has the ability to make small investors feel helpless as he dumps what amounts to a small part of his investments and messes things up for us little guys.Crofthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17634815881045387152noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5414957110325310952.post-26405656464481924582013-02-20T20:10:11.537-08:002013-02-20T20:10:11.537-08:00Probably but I used up my cash reserves on generat...Probably but I used up my cash reserves on generator parts. Considering that most of the US gold is now 45% controlled by China with another 40% controlled by Japan, it leaves few reserves in the US economy.René and Jeanette Genereuxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09166865264538146835noreply@blogger.com
