However when you call about a problem they make you go through endless tests and they insist you plug the receiver directly into the wall and not through a power bar or extension cord. Wh...It's all such a hassle with the receivers. When we got home they wouldn't work, so I called tech support. Naturally, they couldn't solve it over the phone and said they would have to send someone out at a cost of $150. But... if I signed up for the maintenance plan for $8.00/ month it would only cost me a $10. copay, however I couldn't cancel the plan for at least 6 months. So, for $58 I said okay. When the guy got here he turned on the TV and receiver and went to some screen and in 10 seconds had it working. He said they should have told me that over the phone. Geez.
