Our get-up-and-go got up and went. We have done hardly anything since we got home on Monday. We have managed to empty the food out of the motorhome (not a small task) but that is about it. The to-do list is growing and our friends Chris and Juan are on their way to Canada and a visit to the island so we will have to get busy soon. ..... Soon.
I know how you feel. We arrived home 2 weeks ago and so far we have cleaned out the rig (well, most of it), mowed the lawn, and done some weeding. My main goal in getting home in April was to get some decent strawberry plants, and I did score on that end. I was just acclimating to typical PNW weather, when we had our 3 days of 80 degree weather. That just called for an extended break, and like you, apparently our get up and go, is also gone. Although, I am scouting out camping spots in Washington and Oregon......
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the idea behind retirement? Take things as they come? You'll get to it.
ReplyDeleteYou had a busy winter, now take it easy while you can. There's always tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWe haven't emptied out our motorhome since 2006 since we packed it, sure would be a monumental task.
We haven't stopped since we got back two weeks ago and are finally taking it slower today. I guess having your RV in the driveway makes things a lot easier in terms of not having to rush. I'm not getting ready for Chris & Juan until they get to your place because once they get there they may never leave :).
ReplyDeleteThe temporary parking spot is ten feet from the front door while the permanent parking place is twenty five feet from the front door.
DeleteThe way Chris and Juan are suffering sticker shock as they inch north, they may never arrive!
We've been on the road, so by the time we get there it will be conversation (yikes), good seafood and trying to coax those deer into the yard!
ReplyDeleteIt does take a few days after arriving home to get motivated alright. It's nice though to sit back, relax and do nothing with no worries or traveling to think about for a little bit.
ReplyDeleteOK, we get it! You need some down time following a long return journey to/from Florida. Who's going to fire you? Filing your taxes likely killed whatever was left in your human energizer batteries.....!
ReplyDeleteKind of the same here - Only we arrived a week ago Sunday!
