This Blog was created to chronicle our travels in Mexico but has since morphed into something else entirely. Our periodic Mexico travels are still in here but if that is why you came here, you will have to dig a little to get to it. Try searching the Blog Archive in the right hand column.

Shaw Direct Receiver
It took a week but the replacement PVR630 receiver arrived on Friday. I took it out of the box and put the broken one back in. They only sent the receiver itself, not the remote or cables. I sealed the box and dropped it off at the courier, return shipping having been prepaid by Shaw. Today I set it up and it went painlessly. It works!. We will run it in the bedroom for the summer and then move it to the motorhome before we leave for the winter. It will be nice to have the recording feature in Mexico.
Shaw really is a great customer orientated company. When they were still Star Choice they once shipped a new LNB to us at Mr. Moro's at Playa Los Glorias, all at no charge to us.
ReplyDeleteThey have been very good to us as well. I expected a drop in CS after the switch from StarChoice to Shaw Direct but it did not happen.
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting to hear you got a replacement shipped to Mexico. I have always heard they will not ship outside of Canada.
They don't but I begged and they did!
ReplyDeleteWe have had to repair our dish wtice in MX. It is amazing what you can do with Crazy Glue, two part epoxy and Zap Straps!
