We have had some wind lately with the motorhome rocking and rolling a bit. Mornings have been cool enough to justify long pants but it only lasts until eleven or so and then it warms up and the shorts come out. Our friends Rod and Sylvia are in Apache Junction, AZ and are getting some below freezing nights so it could be worse.
The excitement around here this morning was moving a 40 foot rig into a spot across the street. A couple from Pennsylvania sold their older class A motorhome and bought a 40 foot 5th wheel locally. It was a bit tight getting it in but with six guys watching and one guy working it went well.
It has been pretty quiet around here. The Christmas potluck was well attended with way too much food. Norma and I got roped into selling 50/50 tickets at the door and managed to raise $73 for the Social Committee. It is a good way to meet everyone.
We are five weeks into our stay here, the longest we have ever stayed anywhere for many years. The weather is good, the people friendly and the pools hot. What is not to like?
Another sunny day in the desert. Life Is Good.
Glad you are enjoying your stay Croft. Hard for us restless types to sit still like this. We are restless but holding firm. No pics of the move? - would have been fun to see.
ReplyDelete34F here this morning, but sunny enough to play softball in shorts. At noon it was only 50, but in the sunshine it feels quite nice.
ReplyDeleteYou do seem to enjoy being planted this year. What's the plans for the rest of the season?
Nothing set in stone Rod but we have friends in Fountain Hills who are stuck home trying to sell their house so we might go up to Eagle's Nest RV Park for a month. My Blogging friend Bill from Nebraska will be east of Phoenix after his 1st grandchild is born any day now so we might stop to visit them for a week or so. It won't be long before we are out of weeks/months.
DeleteWe are enjoying the same great weather here as well and the hot pools, gotta love it. Gonna be a few cool days coming up but the sunshine will keep us comfy especially with out the winds.
ReplyDeleteIf it's a good spot, why move! I can see moving that 40ft fiver into its spot. Flailing arms syndrome! :)
ReplyDeleteIt is 36 here at Parker Dam this morning. Been here a month and know about the urge to move on.
ReplyDeleteMoving down to Salome today. Will be cooler there tomorrow morning as the elevation is another 1000 feet. Still beats the damp cold of the north, and there is no snow.
The weather has been a bit cooler than normal the past few days with more to come. We'll just wait it out and soon we'll be back to hotter temps for sure just as usual. As long as the wind's not blowin' I'm a happy camper!
ReplyDelete"A bit cooler than normal" was what we heard everywhere we went last year, Rick. I am beginning to think we are the jinx!
DeleteGlad to hear you are having a good time, although we all wish you were down here with us.
ReplyDeleteAnd your weather is so much warmer too!
