Voted!
Our provincial election is on May 9 but the Advance Voting was this weekend so we drove downtown and cast our ballots for the New Democratic Party candidate, Claire Travina. We are hoping the polls are correct for a change and the cursed "Liberal" Party will be thrown out of office. In Canada, the "Liberal" Party is on the right of the political spectrum and here in BC it is on the extreme right. We have suffered with them for too many years!
Feel your pain, especially considering what we have in the White House.
ReplyDeleteHow have you suffered under them Croft? I'm curious what terrible things they have done to you. ;)

Delete2) in 2002 the Liberal government took away the teachers right to negotiate class size.Teachers lost their jobs and class sizes increased across BC. The government was taken to court, the decision was against them but they ignored the decision and introduced more legislation that was deemed to be illegal as well. They again introduced more yet legislation. Finally in 2016 (fifteen years later) the Supreme court ordered the government to restore classes to 2002 levels. They are now using this as an election ad - they are hiring teachers like mad but onle to satisfy the supreme court decision.
Raw log export has increased by several times under the Liberals. Logs processed in BC are of much higher value to the economy than logs exported raw.
The list goes on. It is time for them to go.
So.... in other words they haven't really done anything terrible to YOU. And you say they have been in power for quite a while so apparently more people in BC like them than not. Okay then...
DeleteAn injury to one is an injury to all Don. A simple concept.
DeleteAgain Croft, apparently you are in the minority in your beliefs at least where you live. I'm guessing the majority doesn't feel "injured". If they did then the situation would be different.
DeleteDon't let Canada become a shadow republic of the US
