This Blog was created to chronicle our travels in Mexico but has since morphed into something else entirely. Our periodic Mexico travels are still in here but if that is why you came here, you will have to dig a little to get to it. Try searching the Blog Archive in the right hand column.

To all our women friends: Happy March 8, International Women's Day!
Thank you for reminding me. In addition, we have four March birthdays in our family; I think it will be better (for me, that is) if I produce one huge birthday cake! Does anyone know what is so special about the month of June for conceiving babies? Mine is in October, and I asked my Mom one time what was so special about the month of January; she just simply said, "it was freezing cold."
Our Mexican friend Juan's family has one huge birthday every month for everyone in the family who was born in that month. I think it is kind of a Mexican tradition because the families are so large and so close.
That's right Croft. Last weekend we had over 60 family members that included children, nieces and nephews, grandkids, great-grandkids and everone's spouses. We were still short of the 120 family members. This time it was a potluck ranging from pizza, tacos, rice, beans, to spaghetti and a giant cake for the birthday boys. We can no longer have everyone and if we do, we rent a place with a pool and palapa to accomodate the 120.
