After all my gloating about the beautiful weather here in Queretaro, it has turned. Not cold by Canadian standards, but definitely chilly for my thinned out blood! It is a cool 57F outside right now and the locals have pulled out their down jackets. I have put aside my shorts and am wearing jeans. No swimming pool today!
We have decided to head out for warmer climes. Today we have a list of chores including finding the Telcel Customer Service Center to renew our Internet subscription that expired on December 30. We will soon be needing it again. Tomorrow we will empty the sewer, top off the water and get the inside organised for travel and then on Wednesday morning we will head South on Mex 57 to the Arco Norte bypass of Mexico City (DF) and on to Puebla. The GPS says it is a four hour drive. We will spend a few nights there and then head cross country through Palanque to Chetumal where we will hopefully run into our American friends Whitney and Jan Baines. These two are tequila affectionados and have several samples that they have collected waiting for some critical tasting, a job I am always happy to help them with.

we are just on the GA side of florida I'd settle for 57 degrees right now :)..but as long as I don't have to shovel snow I'm ok with cooler temps...for now...have a super week...
ReplyDeleteYes, our friends who are in the USA are finding cool weather!
ReplyDeleteVery nice plans. Have a safe trip, Puebla is always a treat and Palenque, wow, wish we were heading down that way. You know how to reach us.
ReplyDeleteJan and Whit are eagerly awaiting your visit...it has not been all that warm here...in the mid 70s to mid 80s...but tequila keeps one warm inside. You'd better hurry! Kathe
