Looking Better

I am laying here in bed at 5:00 AM exploring the weather sites. Things are looking better for the Rio Grande Valley with forecasts into the high 70's to low 80's over the next week! It is even warmer here in Marathon as the hose is not frozen this morning.

The trains however are running! One woke me up very early and there was another a while ago which is why I am up typing instead of sleeping. I will try again.

  1. I've never been in one spot long enough to get used to trains going by.
Stayed with a brother and his wife once years ago and they were living maybe 100 meters from the tracks. Trains woke me up a couple times. They heard nothing.
My guess is you won't be staying long enough to get used to it though. An afternoon nap might work.

  2. Hmmm .... not good - I'm a light sleeper. We'll definitely have to find another place to stay in the area.

  3. Noises we are not accustomed to wake us too. Good news on the increase in temperatures though.

  4. We never travel without our trusty wax ear plugs. You will remember how noisy it is at Edgar & Anna's.

  5. The noise does not bother me, just take my hearing aides out at night and all is good.
Enjoy that wonderful weather we are having now too.

  6. Last night in Santa Nella was the first night since we left home that we haven't had to use earplugs due to overnight trains. When we told Sylvia's Dad that the trains were bothering us he said 'What Trains'. Yep he's finally showing SOME signs of being 80!
