No voice is too small to be raised in protest. Rest in Peace, Pete, you have inspired generations. The writing on his banjo says, ""this machine surrounds hate and forces it to surrender".

This Blog was created to chronicle our travels in Mexico but has since morphed into something else entirely. Our periodic Mexico travels are still in here but if that is why you came here, you will have to dig a little to get to it. Try searching the Blog Archive in the right hand column.
Thanks for posting Croft. I've also posted. Pete was another of the best ever.
ReplyDeleteHard to believe he was 95 years old! Most of my memories of him are from my college days in the 60's. I listened to him along with Joan Baez and Bob Dylan.
ReplyDeleteHe wrote one of my all time favorite songs "turn, turn, turn". Another star in the heavens. RIP Pete.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the video Croft. I have enjoyed Pete's music and been moved by his message since the 60s. Thank you Pete Seeger. You helped guide my life. And yes! I still feel forever young.

Pete Seeger was truly one of the great musicians and humanitarians of our time. Nice tribute.
