Pause For Thought

I have not felt any of these. I guess I will have to start paying attention!

  1. You're not going to feel it unless it's at least a 3.0 and then you need to be fairly still. You would possibly feel a 2.5 if it was right under you but typically anything smaller than a 3.0 doesn't move enough to notice.

Once you get to 3.5 then you start to notice it more and 4.0 is a decent little shake. A 4 will wake you up if you're a light sleeper and 4.5 will as long as you're not a heavy sleeper.

Anything 5.0 and above will get your attention in a hurry.

    1. Interesting. I thought I had only experienced one earthquake in my life, a 6.7 in 2011 but we were 160 KM away from the source but it seems that there are earthquakes and there are earthquakes. I have obviously been in more than I know.

  3. Getting out of bed in an RV is close to a 3.5. Sylvia's not very heavy, but Man, can she shake a trailer!

    2. You are a brave man to say that, Rod! I'd be a shakin' in my boots if I ever said that about Paulette! Whew!

  4. I guessed we miss a few too while we were there as well.
But the weather is so nice, and the hot pools, love it!
