Leaving Hacienda Contreras

The time has come to continue on to new adventures. We have had a great time here at "HC". Sal and Barb go far out of their way to make everyone welcome and happy and we are so happy to have finally met them. If you have the chance, come and see them. You will enjoy your time here just as we did.

Tomorrow we will settle up the rest of our bill with Sal and Barb and leave sometime in the morning. We are not going too far, just to Morelia which is about a three hour drive away. We will boondock there in the Walmart and continue on to Cuernavaca the next day, another three or four hour drive.

Chris and Juan pulled out this morning. It is always sad to see these friends leave. Chris has lived and worked in Mexico for 25 years and he and Juan are avid RV’ers and great ambassadors for Mexico. They have been a big help to us and many other RV'ers on many occasions and are always fun to be around. They headed to Guadalajara where Juan will wait in the RV park while Chris flies to Mexico City for a two day meeting. After that they will head back to their home to Monterrey, Nuevo  Laredo. With any luck we will see them again before we leave Mexico.

  1. Looks like a great place Croft. I've bookmarked their website. Doubt we could ever make it there (too timid), but we can hope.

    1. Bill, Mexico is no more dangerous for RV'ers than is the USA or Canada. And the people are great!
