Here I am on my bench in the Vancouver Airport waiting for my 2:00 PM flight to Toronto. There are many flights to TO before mine so I asked if perhaps I could get on an earlier one but the Customer Service rep reminded me that my bags would still be on the later flight. Darn! I would have no way of getting them without a long drive back to the airport.
It is not too bad though. I arrived in Vancouver just before 6:00 AM and found a long bench with no arm rests so I could stretch out and I actually slept for an hour. Hopefully I will be able to sleep some more on the flight. Give me my motorhome every time!
The caravan showed up!

You look so comfy. Not. :)
ReplyDeleteI never check my bags. Too much can go wrong! Being stuck with a carry-on size also keeps me from overpacking. :)
Have a great trip!
I made the mistake of letting Norma pack my bag and she packed 35 pounds worth! That's about 4 pounds a day if I never wear anything twice.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing worse than napping on airport seats is napping on wooden railroad waiting room seats.
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine!
DeleteWe also try and avoid checking bags. Sometimes you have to, but even then we have packed as if it's carry on. Traveling light is soooo much easier.
ReplyDeleteI could easily have gotten by with my backpack as a carry on. I will have to start doing my own packing!
DeleteOne of my past professions was working for Air Canada and I flew pretty much everywhere on my time off but I so prefer our motorhome. Hope you and your luggage get together in Toronto :)
ReplyDeleteNorma worked for Pacific Western for a few years so we enjoyed a bunch of free (or almost free) vacations as well.
DeleteA horizontal selfie? You may be starting a new trend. Or maybe it's just your version of 'Planking' ?
ReplyDeletePlanking as in planking a salmon.
DeleteNope, if's just as popular as Tebowing these days.....;)
DeleteThat's a long, long wait in an airport! Hope your back is o.k. after laying on that bench.
ReplyDeleteI survived it but where was that guy who lived in an airport for several months because no country would accept him? I could not do that! Eight hours was enough!
DeleteThat is a long wait in the airport, hopefully your luggage did arrive in Toronto at tha same time as you.
ReplyDeleteSurprisingly, it did!
