Walk To The Beach

After breakfast this morning my sister asked me if I would like to go for a walk to the beach. I asked her if she was up to it and she assured me that she was. It is about three short blocks each way to the public access. I asked her if she would like to use the transport chair to help her walk (like a shopping cart) but she would have nothing to do with it, she just wanted to hold my arm.

It was damp but not raining and there was a slight breeze from the water but not enough to require a jacket. We walked down and she told me the history of every cottage we passed along the way and then when we got to the water pointed out where her kids used to play in years gone by. I snapped a couple of shots and then got her to let me take her photo. "You should have at least told me to comb my hair", she said.

Her daughter Susan is coming out tomorrow for one night and Don and Riitta are having us over to their house for lunch tomorrow as well. I will remember to take some beer. My nine day week is going by much too quickly!

  3. So nice to spend time with your sister whenever you can.
I have great memories of cruising the 7 mile stretch of hard packed sand along the shore at Wasaga Beach (from Brocks Beach to the Nottawasaga River), on my bicycle, then with my cars way back in the 50's and 60's. Vehicles are no longer allowed.
