Cactus Lesson Learned

Did you know that when you drag Christmas lights through a cactus they pick up thousands of microscopic, invisible needles that then transfer to your hands and clothes? Well, they do and they hurt when you touch anything and try as you will, you cannot see them to pick them out.

If you knew this, why didn't you tell me?

  1. Replies
    1. Didn't have any and by then I was too deep into self-medicating with vodka it was too late to drive!

  2. Croft. You mean there are spinie, prickly things in Mesa, come south to tropical Mexico, totally different in the tropics ,

  3. Obviously you've never read my blog closely enough. We have lots of experience with Cactus Needles. They make horrible handholds when out in the desert hiking.

  4. You should know better, you have been to the desert before.
Good luck with all those little pricks.

  5. Vodka, applied internally provided temporary relief and now in the morning the stinging has quit. Almost back to normal!
