Havana Memories

You remember when Norma and I went with Brooks and LindaLee to Cuba back in 2010. We went on a two day excursion to the city of Havana with Brooks friend, Rolando Torres Rivero (Roly). Roly is a young retired university professor who is now a professional guide. He speaks fluent English, Spanish and pretty good Russian. He is an expert on all things Cuban and is also a professional photographer and his tours include a DVD of photos.

Roly has a new website for his guiding business called Havana Memories but he will take you to any part of Cuba you want to visit.

Have a look at Roly's website. He has many photos. http://havanamemories.jimdo.com/

  1. The photo of your family looks like you were having a blast. Roly's album reinforces that it's time the U.S. does away with the outdated and asinine boycott of Cuba.

    1. We really had a good time Bill. It was just the four of us and we spent every day and evening together.

And yes, it is long past the time to end the stupid boycott / embargo.

    1. You will enjoy it Kathe. Will you get to Havana? That is my favorite place as the Cuban beaches are much like Mexican beaches. Havana is where the culture is!

    1. It is a short flight from Mexico Contessa. Take a couple weeks vacation while you are there.

  4. Great photos, we're headed back in October for a month! We're planning a 7-10 day bike ride in the middle of the month! You really get to know a country and its people when there isn't a window! As usual, we'll leave the bikes for friends. This will be bikes number 9 & 10 that we've given.
