Yes, that is a 1.75 litre bottle of Single Malt! I bought it at the discount liquor store on the California - Oregon border. I was looking at a smaller bottle when the clerk told me about this "special". Yes, it was only $59.99.
Don't worry Canada Customs, it will be "gone" by the time we get home.
And no, I am not drinking it with Club Soda, that is just to show the size. Neat or one ice cube is how it is done.

That stuff always tastes like cold dirty dishwater to me. I guess it's an acquired taste. I hope you enjoy it!

Hmmm...I enjoy Scotch and your choice is spectacular. Enjoy your Christmas gift! It is well deserved even if you say so to yourself!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNow that is a Christmas gift.
But for me has to be neat!
I am a "neat" guy myself but my son is trying to convert me to adding a few drops of water or one ice cube. He claims the added water brings out the flavour. I will test his theory some more.
DeleteWhat a catch! And your son is correct.
ReplyDeleteI could never quite warm up to Scotch. As mentioned above, I guess it's an acquired taste. I can tolerate a shot of Crown Royal from time to time, but that's just boring old Canadian Whiskey.
ReplyDeleteMy Dad never drank much of anything, but before calling a dance (remember square dancing?) he'd knock back a shot of Teacher's Highland Cream. Of course, as a very young lad, I thought it had something to do with what we sold to the creamery. I didn't think I wanted to try it though.
A drop of water is all it takes.
ReplyDeleteI think you are right Mike. What are you up to this year? A back click on your profile leads nowhere.
DeleteWith this cold weather I'll have to have a taste!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas! Hope there's still some left in the bottle by the time the big day arrives.
ReplyDeleteI am also a single malt fan - but we are buying some pretty fine tequila (better than what is common in the U.S. Jose Cuervo Gold) for 10 usd 1.75 liter - just add some lime slices ;-)
