This is what is left of Tropical Depression Paula. It was officially downgraded from a Class 2 Hurricane late yesterday but is very close to Varadero where we will be staying. It is slowly moving east so we should have little to worry about.This will be very exciting! I have never been close to a hurricane!
I was blamed for the worst hurricane in New Brunswick's history. It happened in September of 1994 and wiped out half of their fishing industry. The mayor of Gran Manan island personally told me I was not welcome back.

Well, you may have caused this one as well but it will not make it to N.B.
ReplyDeleteWe had expected some of Paula here in the Xalapa area - but she decided to head east after nearing the Yucatan.
