The Honda is ready before promised! $480 US after taxes, maybe a little more that I would have spent if I had been able to shop around but all in all, not bad. Thank you Roberto at Del Rio Goodyear!
Three hours to Laredo, TX. We are back on schedule!
Another beautiful day in Mexico...

Good for another 65000 km. Drive safe.
ReplyDeletemanufacture date code 10th week, 2009. Not that old. That is some blowout. Not a typical pattern.
ReplyDeleteIt should be! Thanks Peter.
ReplyDeleteSparkdog44, you found the date code in the photo? I can't see it. March/09 is seven years old! That is older than I thought they were. I just checked back in Quicken and see I did buy them in July of '09 so you are right. Less than 50,000 KM on them but the age is what did it in.
ReplyDeleteHi. Yes right at the 3 o'clock position in the photo. Right above the missing chipped piece on the hubcap. The area is slightly recessed, arched (to match the tires radius) rectangular in shape with rounded ends. It's stamped "CME 1009". Do you recalling running over anything on the road? Regards Mark
ReplyDeleteThe "Highway" is exposed aggregate, almost medium size gravel imbedded in blacktop. Some of the gravel is sharp so that might have been what did it. Otherwise, I did not notice anything.
ReplyDeleteThe new tires are stamped 4615 so the 46th month of 2015. Not brand new but not bad. Not sure if they age much before they are mounted.
