Near Patzcuaro is the Ihuatzio Archaeological Site. It consists of a ceremonial space and two almost completely restored pyramids. I have been unable to get on the Internet to find out any more about the site. Climbing the structures is not allowed but I was able to walk right up to them and touch them. I find it to be an emotional experience to actually touch these ancient structures to try to get a feeling of the people who created them.
